Comments about 7-1/4 in. Magnesium Hypoid Saw:

Used for the first time today, our the box with no set up adjustments it just rips 1" thick boards so straight the clean up passes on table saw were barely 1/4 of the kerf.

This may weigh more than twice the regular direct drive skillsaw it replaces but the results were better one handed than I've managed in the last 10 years.

Never bought refurbished tools before but if this is the norm l'll definitely do so again, looking forward to lots of years with this saw.

Comments about 7-1/4 in. Magnesium Hypoid Saw:

I have never been disappointed by the tools that have been reconditioned. This saw was packed well and included all contents included with a new identical model.

For the amount of use in my workshop it fits the task well. It is a good design and the lack of the need for worm drive maintenance saves some upkeep.

Saws of this genre tend to be heavy but the magnesium reduces some of the weight.

Excellent tool, great improvement over my old Skil saw. Great price on the reconditioned magnesium Hypiod saw, bought on CPO's recon sale. I have bought reconditioned tools before and have never had a problem with them.

Comments about 7-1/4 in. Magnesium Hypoid Saw:

Basically all worm drive or hypoid saws hold the line on long rip cuts very well. This one is exactally 1.5 inches from the short edge to the blade. I've been using it to rip 1.5 inches off 1X4
oak boards from 6 to 10 feet and don't even need to mark them just put my finger on the edge as a guide and it is ripping them beautifully.
