Good little wrench
I am an IT professional & avid DIY mechanic who worked pit crews for many years. There isn't much I haven't done on a vehicle, but I'm not a professional mechanic. I purchased this tool to have a lighter, smaller, wrench for under car work. I took a leap of faith due to the lack of reviews. Hopefully my review will fill the void a bit and help set expectations.

I didn't expect this wrench to be as strong as my IR 231c, but M7 advertises the same maximum torque so I figured it might be close. I didn't think it was a strech as the IR design is decades old while this tool is newly developed. However, there is no comparison between these two wrenches. The IR is MUCH stronger.

I was initially disappointed in this tool as it struggled to remove the lug nuts on my F150, which were rotated this week and torqued using never seize. I retorqued the lugs nuts and tested again with the same results. The supply pressure and volume were no issue as it's a 60 gallon compressor tank with 3/8" lines and connectors. I was on the verge of returning the wrench when I decided to test it for the purpose I bought it for, which is under car work.

My truck is 13 years old and I live in the rust area (Upstate NY) so it's a good vehicle to test with. I tested the wrench on shock and bumper mount fasteners. Both were heavily rusted and the bumper was a tight fit. I needed to use a swivel and short extension on the bumper, but the wrench fit between the bumper and spare tire with about an inch to spare.

This wrench made short work of both the shock and bumper mount fasteners. It spun them off like they were finger tightened. I was very suprised at the speed, especially given the problems it had with the lug nuts.

I decided to test it again with the lug nuts. Interestingly, it was better. It seems like it just needed a bit of break-in time although I don't know why it would. I decided to keep the wrench due to the ability to work on the rusted fasteners in tight spaces. This M7 still isn't anywhere near as strong as the IR, but it is light, compact and has enough power to be very useful.

Powerful yet compact. Spins lug nuts without any problem. Removes rusted bolts with little croft and easily fits into tight places. Great go to gun.

I like the size It lacks the power of a full size 1/2 in.
Under the hood in tight spots it works well but it is not for changing tires all day.
