Jet Tools, founded by Leslie P. Sussman, began in 1958 in Tacoma, Washington as a hardware store dealing in trolleys and manual chain hoists. By the 1970's the business also offered a full line of industrial air tools and material handling products. And even as metalworking equipment became the core focus of the company a decade later, Jet continued to expand by introducing a line of quality woodworking products.
Over the years, Jet has pioneered the import business by working with suppliers abroad and today still does business with one of their original suppliers. But beginning in the 1990's, the company decided to grow from an importer to a manufacturer and began designing and manufacturing their own products with the help of expert engineers from both the USA and abroad.
Jet, a company whose name was inspired by the first Boeing commercial “jet” plane flights in 1958, has become a trusted name in industrial machinery. Today Jet offers a wide range of quality tools that include: drilling machines, dust collection systems, lathes, milling machines, planers, sanders, saws, accessories and more.
