Great around the yard for old trees , dead limbs , and storm damaged trees . I bought my old one 30 years ago and I dropped the ball on the upkeep . The carb. got clogged while it was being worked on I bought a new one. Can't be without it for too long.

Comments about Husqvarna 445 45.7cc Gas 16 in. Rear Handle Chain Saw:

I bought this 455 chainsaw in Apr 2012 and it has been in the shop always getting fixed. I have a few cleared acres with a lot of old trees and when they drop dead I need to clean them up. The first time I used it when it got hot it won't start. Bad coil. Can't wait around waiting for it cool so I can restart. In the shop about a month. Every time I go to use the saw the oil tank leaks dry. Good thing for oil dry. Its been in the shop two times for this. About 2-3 weeks each time. Its now back in again for leaking oil and another bad coil. Estimate time of repair 2-3 weeks. So far the cost have been covered under warranty, but now its just out of warranty.. I'm waiting. Saw worked good when running. Time to buy another brand.

Comments about Husqvarna 445 45.7cc Gas 16 in. Rear Handle Chain Saw:

This is my third Husky. I started with a 136, then moved up to a 350 which had a lot of power but the muffler came off the first time I used it and it would never stay in and the shop at the store where I bought had no more success. So I switched to a Stihl 290. A great saw when I was able to start it which was hit or miss. Finally, I read reviews here last year and bought a 445 with an 18 inch bar and it works like a dream. Very easy starting with a lot of power and gas efficient.

Comments about Husqvarna 445 45.7cc Gas 16 in. Rear Handle Chain Saw:

I bought my Husky-varna about 4 years ago when I moved into our then new house. We have 13 acres, and I thought that as a home owner I would only need an occasional storm clean up saw. In the past 4 years, three major storms on top of two serious hurricanes later, as well as historically high rains, I have sawed up over a dozen mature trees some in the 60-80 foot range and species from Locust to Walnut. The Husqvarna has done well, and probably better than I should expect, although it has gone through three bars at the same time as taking 5 chains. I feel that the bars should last longer than that. The bearings in the end sprocket keep getting tight even though I oil the sprocket holes with Teflon oil every time I saw. I also had to replace the ignition module last year, which seemed reasonable to me with the amount of work I have put on the saw. I have found it slightly under powered for the work that I am doing in that it has trouble with trunks larger than 15 inches, but it does get through them with a little work. The engine itself is very solidly built and the saw will run all day starting both warm and cold easily. Cleans easily. Maintenance is pretty easy including putting in the new ignition module. I would recommend it, although a little more power would probably have done well for me.

Comments about Husqvarna 445 45.7cc Gas 16 in. Rear Handle Chain Saw:

I bought this trimmer two years ago. I was hesitant because of a bad Husky saw I purchased once. At the store this just felt like a super solid machine, especially at this price point. Also the ability to have the cultivator attachment was a big factor because I have an acre in garden on top of the weed cutting I have. The competitions trimmer that would allow attachments was twice the money! This machine has done everything I have ask of it, and does it smoothly! Motor starts easily, and has little vibration compared to other trimmers I have owned. I was impressed from the start. I have only a couple of complaints that I believe Husqvarna could easily remedy, and make this hands down the best machine on the market anywhere near this price! One is NO skid guard for the fuel tank and now mine is all scratched up....(I am a stickler for keeping my equipment new looking) The other issue is the cutting head seems to keep loosening, I try and tighten it, but It seems as if the bolt that holds it is tight. Understand.....I work this machine hard! Up to three or so hours a week a lot of that is using the tiller attachment, that can not be easy on the power head. Has not faulted as of yet! Good Job....Husky!....You just may have won my saw business back with this trimmer!
