Comments about Husqvarna 128C 28cc Gas 17 in. Curved Shaft String Trimmer:

I've owned this model for around 3 yrs now. I cut 2-3 half acre yards a week, use it with all sorts of attachments (chainsaw, brush cutter, etc.) and It's still going strong....Keep it clean and well maintained, and this trimmer should give you years of service...Went and bought a second one just because I was afraid they'd change the design one day. Now I should be set for life...

Comments about Husqvarna 128C 28cc Gas 17 in. Curved Shaft String Trimmer:

This is an absolutely great trimmer. I bought it and used it for about three year. After I purchased it, the pull cord got stuck and wouldn't go back in. I took it to the dealer and it never got stuck again until about a month ago. Just so I didn't have to keep dealing with the issue I bought a trimmer from another brand due to my current budget. Other than the pull cord issue this is a great trimmer.

Comments about Husqvarna 128C 28cc Gas 17 in. Curved Shaft String Trimmer:

This is an exceptional trimmer. It is quiet, not too heavy(I use a shoulder strap) and starts very easy. Usually on 2nd pull on 1/2 choke. The bump trimmer works very well with no trouble. I do use the pre-mix 50-1 fuel and the trimmer runs very smoothly. Gas usuage is a little on the high side but I have only used it for 3 weeks with absolutely no complaints. I enjoy using this machine because of the ease of using it with no problems. This has been a very good buy for the money. Time will answer all questions. I did purchase at a dealer in the event of any issues and purchased extended warranty.

It did not have full power until I ran about 3 tanks of gas through it then it ran great. It bogs down if you use .95 line but I use Huskys TitaniumForce line and nothing else. I cut down waist high weeds on 1/4 acre with no real problems after the second tank of gas.

                      A:

This item uses a 2-cycle oil. This is directly from the manual:

CAUTION! The machine is equipped with a
two--stroke engine and must always be run
using a mixture of petrol and two-stroke
engine oil. It is important to accurately measure
the amount of oil to be mixed to ensure
that the correct mixture is obtained. When
mixing small amounts of fuel, even small
inaccuracies can drastically affect the ratio
                      of the mixture.
                      Petrol
CAUTION! Always use a good quality petrol/oil
                      mixture (at least 90 octane).
Use low--emission petrol, also known as
alkylate petrol, if it is available.
S The lowest octane recommended is 90.
If you run the engine on a lower octane
than 90, it can result in knocking. This
gives rise to a high engine temperature,
which can result in serious engine damage.
S When working at continuous high revs, a
                      higher octane rating is recommended.
                      Two--stroke oil
S For best results and performance, use
                      HUSQVARNA two--stroke oil, which is
                      specially formulated for our two--stroke
                      engines. Mixture 1:50 (2%).
S If HUSQVARNA two--stroke oil is not available,
you may use another two-stroke oil of
good quality that is intended for air cooled
engines. Contact your dealer when selecting
an oil. Mixing ratio 1:33 (3%).
S Never use two--stroke oil intended for
                      water--cooled outboard engines,
sometimes referred to as outboard oil.
S Never use oil intended for four--stroke
                      engines.
                      WARNING: Take care when handling
fuel. Bear in mind the risk of
                      fire, explosion and inhaling fumes.
