Q:What is a Fuel rod 728982D? What function does it do? How available are these Fuel Rods and where can they be purchased? What is the average cost of a new Fuel Rod? Will this fuel rod last in the nailer for extended periods of time or will they go dead like everything else when stored away? How do you know when to replaced the fuel rod with a new one? Does the fuel rod have any effect on driving the nail to a specific depth?
A:Fuel Rod 728982D is the recommended fuel rod that goes in this nailer. You can also use the Pasload fuel rod, which is readily available at Lowes. The fuel rod's purpose is to create the pressure for the nail to shoot out into the item that you are trying to nail. The Pasload fuel rods go for about $12-13 for a set of two. The fuel rods last, on average, about a month or two with continous use. You will know when you need to replace the fuel rod because the nails will not shoot and you know your battery is full. The fuel rods do not affect the depth of driving nails.
Q:What degree nail does this shoot?
A:Please refer to this the information on Hatachi's website. Here is the link to the required nails for this nailer:
