While heavy and at slow speeds somewhat jerky this mower took a charge and just kept going and going, quiet especially when compared to gas powered mowers, cuts cleanly and evenly. easy to use on large yards. Best Electric mower I had had the pleasure to own.
As a recent first-time homeowner who needed to buy his first lawn mower, I wanted to make quality purchase I would be proud of. With the ethanol related issues small engines face nowadays (we can thank our government for putting genetically modified corn in EVERYTHING - don't get me started...), I really didn't want to go with a gas-powered mower and bother with all of the associated headaches. After doing some research, this Greenworks 19" mower seemed like it checked all of the boxes. After ordering on a Monday, the mower showed up to my Charlotte, N.C. house less than 24 hours after I purchased it! I know these guys are located in Georgia, but who ships that fast!? It was like they sent it before I even finished checking out...
I must say that the mower was everything that I had hoped for. I have around a quarter-acre of a fairly thin fescue lawn and it handled it with ease. Sticks and gum balls didn't slow it down either. My friend said these mowers can struggle with very thick lawns (I might be wary if you've planted zoysia grass), but so far, so good. The most amazing part was that after I finished mowing for 30-40 minutes and went to re-charge the battery a day later, the battery showed that it had a full charge still!? I know it's rated at about a 50 minute run time, but I'm thinking this is either a VERY cautious estimate or I got some kind of super battery!?
All kidding aside, the mower is easy to use and putts along at a nice pace using self-propulsion. It could be a tad faster for my taste, but it's not too slow by any means. My only gripe so far is that it's a bit awkward to use the self-propelled handle, which is on the bottom of the main grip bar, while at the same time holding the upper handle down that keeps the blade spinning. It took a little time to get comfortable with it, but it didn't turn out to detract from the overall experience. The mower makes a nice noise, it's not whisper quiet, but it's noticeably subdued from your typically rabid small combustion engine. I had a conversation with my wife in the backyard while mowing and didn't even have to shout. You can also be thankful that you're not sucking down exhaust fumes while mowing - small engines are per-scale some of the worst polluting machines out there.
All-in-all, this appears to be a great mower and I'm extremely happy with the purchase. It's exciting to think that I will NEVER have to run out to get gas, worry about fuel-oil mixtures, pull-cords, spark plugs, etc. just to mow the lawn. Now it's as simple as inserting a safety key, pulling a lever and pressing a start button! Take that, combustion!
The mower works well and easy to adjust the height. The only difficulty is on a steep hill. The self propelled helps, but you still need to give the mower a good strong push as well. It cuts and mulches very well, is much quieter than a gas mower and does not have all the exhaust fumes. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a new lawn mower
No fuss, no muss. Mower works great! Height adjusts easily. No messy gas or oil to work with. Super quiet, pulls me around the yard at the right speed. Wish I would have tried cordless sooner. Never go back to gas. Love it! Thanks, Robert.

Q:Mower worked fine yesterday then I plugged it in to charge, when the light turned green, I doesn't even come on at all! What now?
Q:Is the battery lead acid or lithium?
A:The battery is Lead-Acid
Q:How long does the battery last, and is the self propelled as strong as a gas lawnmower? I have to make sure it assists me while mowing. Thank you.
A:The average run time for the battery is 50 minutes. Self propelled is just a strong but it will shorten run time.
Q:Is this Front or Rear wheel drive?
