This chainsaw is simply perfect for the general use homeowner. It has ample power, battery life, and the size is perfect in most instamces for small branches. I have a 20 inch gas saw but why start it up each time when this little guy does the job effortlessly with the click of a switch.
Works great on small trees about 4 inches in diameter and less. We recently bought a 6 acre lot that was very over grown with scrub oaks mostly under 4 inches. For the bigger trees I use my gas powered saw. I also use the electric saw to chop up the trees into a smaller more manageable size. Haven't done enough cutting to kill the battery yet so I can not say how long a charge will last. Pleased so far.
