Good, dependable converter.
Mounted one in each truck we have and we charge everything with them and use our computers too.

Out in the middle of nowhere
Believe it or not my local power company took 9 months to get 120 VAC to my rural building lot. I dug an incline into the ground to make an ersatz tractor-trailer loading dock to unload all my worldly possessions for the change of residence. The soil is mostly clay and when it rains this dock fills up like a swimming pool. What to do, what to do??? Buy this inverter to hook up to the twin truck batteries via the large alligator clips and a sump pump that didn't draw more than 200 watts. A section of garden hose and the hole in the ground is drained within 1 hour. Sure, I could have bought a small generator to power the pump but this was the least expensive choice for a makeshift situation.

I also used this inverter to power my laptop computer to run a diagnostic program that plugs into my vehicles OBD II port. For this I used the power port under the dash which is limited to ~80 watts. I know what you're thinking, if it's a laptop why not just power it from its internal battery? Because some electrical gremlins take hours to finally surface. Way to long for laptop battery power alone. I've used this inverter for trips of 7 hours duration. Never let me down. I couldn't be happier!

Can you have it plugged directly to the battery and use it in the car while driving? We have a portable DVD player and when we cut the car off to pump gas the DVD cuts off.
