Freight Orders

Freight deliveries require a delivery time be scheduled and someone must be present at the time of delivery to inspect and sign for the merchandise. A representative from the freight carrier will call the phone number entered at checkout to schedule the delivery.

Liftgate Service

For freight deliveries, you have the option of adding a liftgate to your delivery. A liftgate is the device that lowers a product from the truck to ground level.

CPO recommends adding liftgate service for freight deliveries exceeding 100 lbs if you do not have a loading dock or fork lift at the delivery address. Additional charges may apply. The liftgate option will be presented during the checkout process.

Please note that liftgate service only ensures the product is removed from the truck. We recommend you have the additional help of two to four people to move the product to its desired location because drivers are not required to assist.

Requesting liftgate service after ordering may result in additional charges and delays.

I bought this unit to act as a stand-by source for our home in the mountains. Commercial power here is subject to interruption about 2-3 times a week but most are not of long duration. This unit has been very reliable after 6 mounts of use. Propane usage has been as expected. The included auto switchover works well. I did my own installation (I am a PE) in conjunction with a major addition to the house. Because of that, I was able to redirect essential circuits to not exceed the 7KW that this unit can supply. Particularly useful were the feed-through lugs on the auto-transfer panel that allowed me to power a existing subpanel in the old section. We cook and heat with gas so the major loads are lighting, referigeration and water pump. Those loads are easily handled by this unit. Even though we are at 5600', the max load test did not indicate a significant reduction in available output. I can recommend this unit.

Works great. This unit comes with NO wiring, thus installation is trickier. I installed this unit myself. Was fun project, but took me a good while. I had a licensed electrician look over my work. The only problem was, the transfer switch shipped with a bad 50 amp circuit breaker that I never would have figured out. Make no mistake, this unit is NOT quiet. You can have a conversation next to it while it is running, but you need to raise your voice some. We have not had a prolonged outage, but if we did, I have no doubt it would get old very quickly listening to that thing drone on. I have no doubt to get one whisper quiet would cost a fortune.

The RTS14EZA1 is too large. This 7KW generator is only designed for use with it's included switch.

I see the unit comes with a trans switch
and I have been told I can use it either natural gas or LP.
My question is if I use it with natural gas do I need a regulator to control the gas flow
and also what size gas pipe do i need coming from the house.

          • Staff Reviewer

            A:

Gas flow is regulated by the generator, but to determine the correct pipe size you must first determine the pressure you have. this can be done by a qualified plumber.

It should be serviced after every 200 hours of use, basically like getting an oil change in your car...

Can someone explain (briefly) installation? I assume that I would need at least an electrician. (I'm not a DIYer when it comes to electricity!)

Any info that can be provided is appreciated!

          1 answer

          • Staff Reviewer

            A:

First you will need to prep the location for the installation and place the composite pad on a firm and level surface. You will next place the generator on the pad. Then you will install the transfer switch (this is where a licensed electrician is very helpful), and wire it to the existing distribution panel in your home and and to the generator. You will next connect the fuel line (natural gas or propane, also helpful to have a licensed plumber for this step) to the generator. That is the simplified basics of installation. You can also download the installation manual from our site for detailed explanations of each step.
