The Festool System is about providing professionals with the complete work solution. Festool tools aim to get the job done better and faster than anything else on the market. With efficiency in mind, Festool changes the way that people work; reducing steps, refining quality and boosting safety.
Founded in 1925 by Albert Fezer and Gottlieb Stoll, “Festo” later renamed Festool, developed their first successful product, the first portable chain saw in 1929. Over the next few decades Festool introduced many innovative tools to their product line including the first orbital sander on the tool market (1951), a portable circular saw with a guide rail (1964), the first eccentric sander (1976) and a jig saw equipped with a triple saw blade guide for exact cuts in 1984.
Festool pride themselves on their comprehensive Festool System approach, comprised of four components: Dust extractors for keeping a clean work area, Multifunction tables for a portable work surface in the workshop or on the jobsite, Guide rails for making easy accurate cuts every time and the Systainer storage system for organizing, packing and transporting tools and accessories. When used together with core tools such as Festool saws, routers, planers, sander and drill drivers, the Festool System has what it takes to get the job done faster, easier and smarter.
