Comments about ETS 125 EQ 5-in Random Orbit Sander:

I've used this sander for everything from drywall joints to fine furniture finishes. It excels in all uses due largely to Festool's sandpaper system. This takes a bit of effort to adjust to, but is well worth it. Also has plenty of power for its size, and its light weight makes it nice for long jobs.

I bought this for 220 and 320 grit sanding on furniture products. The small orbit and light weight offer a very smooth finish. Excellent dust extraction helps as well.

Comments about ETS 125 EQ 5-in Random Orbit Sander:

This is a really good light to medium duty orbital sander. The dust collection when connected to a Festool vacuum is phenomenal - you will have a hard time seeing any dust escaping. It works best with grits of 120 and higher, but I have used it for 80 grit without a problem - you may want a more powerful sander for 60 and 80 grit work. The Festool brand sanding disks really stick to the sanders orbital disk well and last a long time. I have used the sander with Abranet disks with good results, though I prefer the Festool disks.

Comments about ETS 125 EQ 5-in Random Orbit Sander:

This is really a fantastic sander. I'm not sure if it's actually quieter than my Bosch and Dewalt sanders, or if the motor just generates a different frequency. At any rate, I find both of my Festool sanders to be considerably more pleasant to use than other models I've experienced. This is not only because of volume/frequency, but also because of the unbelievable dust collection when paired with a Festool dust collector, and the excellent balance, which leads to less vibration and fatigue. The Festool abrasives are also excellent. The key to the abrasives' longevity is to set your dust collector to it's lowest setting. Even set on "turtle" all of the dust is collected, but downward pressure created by sucking the sander against the work piece is minimized, which reduces friction and the amount of dust that packs into the grit. Sanding used to be such a tedious and unpleasant experience. I feel like an idiot for not making the switch sooner.

I bought this one with my 90 series by festool. I like this one but not as much as the 90 rotex. That one is just awesome. Though I use this alot ( only cause of the 5" foot print compared to the 3" ) You cant go wrong with either sander. Pick the rotex
