Best value for great accessories
I bought this kit as I am a contractor who works in people's homes. Cleanliness is the first priority. What I found is that this kit is really the best value for what you get and it performs absolutely wonderfully. Packaged in a T-loc Sys 4, you get Festool's larger diameter hose, standard wand attachments, floor attachment that has two surface settings (carpet and hard surface), and a 4pc wand that assembles snugly together and breaks down just as easily as it went together. I did have trouble repacking everything in the Systainer but I use the large hose so much that I now just hang it in my van and store the attachments elsewhere. Now I have a Sys 4 that I can use for other tools or accessories.

You think I'm overstating how well this thing works? So far not one but two people have seen me using this and ended up buying a dust extractor with this kit. One of the converts is my wife. It is now her primary vacuum. So gentlemen, be careful about bringing your work home with you. Your wife may make you buy her Festool as well :)

I use this kit for offsite full day cleaning and the small sysatiner all plastic kit of light cleanup. I do prefer the metal tubes but I know some prefer the plastic onces because they bump into stuff. YMMV

overall I like the product it's agile and moves easily, the looks, feel and operation say quality the systainer corrals the tools which is handy, although I feel the set is pricy.

Do these metal ext. tubes lock together or just snug?
I need all pieces to lock together to keep from coming apart while in use.

BEST ANSWER: The extension pieces don't have any lock mechanism. You simple push them together (about 3 in.), and they are held together by pressure. The fit is very snug. It takes a decent amount of force to push them together or pull them apart. I don't see them coming apart easily. Also, the extensions themselves are very well made and heavy duty. I haven't used the kit a lot, but am satisfied with the quality.
