Fast and easy near perfect cuts in plywood. Don't bother with Brand D - go ahead and spend the extra money and get the real thing. It's worth the difference.

Comments about FS 1400/2 55-in (1400mm) Guide Rail:

The Festool guide rail paired with the circular saw yields a cut like nothing else. Straight, smooth, zero chip out......and accuracy only limited by your own eyesight.

The removable/ replaceable nylon edge guide means it will stay accurate.

This tool is a revolution in cutting.

Comments about FS 1400/2 55-in (1400mm) Guide Rail:

I bought two of these with a TS55. Get the bag to keep the corners from getting beat up. The 8' rail is just too long and clunky to transport. This is a marvelous time saver with two 55" rails mated together on a jobsite to cut tapers or custom cuts without lugging in a table saw.

Comments about FS 1400/2 55-in (1400mm) Guide Rail:

The assorted guide rails, coupled with the track saw, are where the Festool system gets into territory that a tablesaw or miter saw can't handle. Lay the edge of the guide rail on any scribed line, drop the saw into place on the track, and your cut will perfectly match your drawn line. The guides also work unbelievably well with the Festool routers. Accurate dados and rabbets have never been so easy. One warning: do yourself a favor and get the 75" rail (or, better yet the 32" and 42" rails, and a connector set - more versatility). The 55" is too short to comfortably crosscut a 48" sheet, with lead in and lead out room to support the saw, especially if you are using the cord/hose management attachment.

Comments about FS 1400/2 55-in (1400mm) Guide Rail:

Good length for ripping plywood sheets (across short side). Light weight and sturdy. Sticks to wood well even without clamps. Splinter strip works well to prevent chip out. I get better cuts with using TS75 and this than I do with a table saw.
