I love having a universal cord. being able to replace the cored without servicing the tool. I have extra for different stations so i know I alwasy have one in the systainer if I need to take tools out of the shop

Having an extra cord on hand is very useful. I have one attached to a ceiling outlet above my cutting table so it is easy to change between tools and I can keep the original cords in the box so I don't forget to take them with me. These are well made and can take a beating.

This is the main reason why I was sold on Festool. If your like me I ruin my cords on my tools all the time. And when I try to mend them it just looks horrible. Not to mention the ugly fitting or bulky plug end you have to put on. Also love the fact when you put away your tool you can easily remove the cord, no more fighting to put it in the tool case. Just a very smart design and worth any price.

One cord is all you need. It has excellent length, is sturdy and will work in most Festool power tools. This sure beats having cords all over the work space. I typically have this cord plugged into the wall and simply unplug one tool to use another, all in a quick twist. This is one of the unique features of the Festool system.
