        Comments about Deflector:

You could go with out but its catches and feels like running your fingers across a comb. Its distracting when you are doing a cut and you get some resistance because the cable or hose got caught against the guide rail

            Comments about Deflector:

Holds the hose and keeps it from sticking to the end of the guide rails. The height of the wings is a bit short for wider diameter hoses, but it definitely increases the smoothness of cutting and provides additional safety against kickback.

                  Comments about Deflector:

Without this piece your dust extractor hose will assuredly get caught on the rear of your MFT guide rail. The hoses are ribbed and will sort of 'bounce' the saw forward during cuts. A must.
