Comments about ONE Plus 18V Cordless Lithium-Ion 12-in Straight Shaft String Trimmer (Tool Only):

great trimmer for light duty use. Works great and product was clean, looked new to me. Don't expect to trim tall grass or weeds but it works just fine for light duty trimming and edging. As stated on web site, this does not include batteries. I have the ryobi tools so this was a great buy for me.

Comments about ONE Plus 18V Cordless Lithium-Ion 12-in Straight Shaft String Trimmer (Tool Only):

Instead of trimming it simply strips leaves from stem. Also the blade on the inside cover doesn't cut the string to proper length when the trimmer is turned on.

Does a good job on grass, but heavier weeds and briars slow it down. Newly charged batteries last longer than Black & Decker.

Can the ni-cad batteries that I have for my other ryobi tools be used with this or does it need the lithium battery?

NO, it is not recommended to interchange these two battery types.

              • Q:

Why do I have to remove the string cover when the string breaks to get/pull more string? I was under the impression that this trimmer was "self-feeding". I'm constantly having to stop trimming to get more line out. Very frustrating!

Interesting. I purchased this trimmer not too long ago, but mine "auto-feeds" just fine. Every once in a while, I can hear it spit the string out and the plastic round edge trims access off so it becomes perfect length.

Did you recently put a new spool of string in it yourself? did you install the spool correctly so the string isn't getting caught up inside?
