It works fine for small projects. It is light weight. The draw backs are not very powerful and it takes too long to recharge.

Comments about 12V Cordless NiCd Drill Kit:

I bought this recon drill on a whim, because it was so cheap. Compared to all the other 12 volt drills I have or have had this one's a wimp. Low power, low top speed, questionable batteries and plug in charger like a cell phone. I think it will be adequate for those small odd jobs around the house though. It does have a nice solid feel and is very compact and light weight. For the amount I spent I really can't complain and it will get some use.

Comments about 12V Cordless NiCd Drill Kit:

In the process of questioning anticipated battery life. Fully charged it when I got it, two weeks later went to use it, drilled 2 holes in wood and the battery was dead. Recharged it and it was fine. apparently charge is a short term thing? so maybe one battery constantly on charger or alternate battery on charger weekly?

are 12v Ryobi batteries rebuilt and will they have any self life

        • CUSTOMER CARE

          A:

Batteries do not have a reconditioning process. They are inspected to have at least 90% of their total life left, otherwise they are replaced. The batteries have been previously returned. However, they should be like new. Most reconditioned tools are returned due to a malfunction with the tool, so the batteries are never used.
