The unit works as described. Starting can be a bit tricky but if you follow the directions it will start everytime. Vibration could be a problem so you may have to add a screw to the tubes to keep them from separating when in use. I bought two at the price offered and do not have to change the configuration of the unit to go from blowing to vacuuming. A good buy for the money.
The package included all parts and the manual. There is minimal assembly for blowing. Just attach the twist lock blower tube. Or remove the guard and attach the mulcher tube with a screwdriver. Have not mulched with it. Motor started easily but does not develop full power until completely warmed up. Twist lock blower tube did losen up a couple times. I may tape it next year. Nice machine for the money. People who returned it likely found it a bit too heavy. I would recommend this to my male friends. It's too heavy for my wife.
I bought this because of the good reviews and the fact that it has a steel blower/mulching blade. It is obviously a re-ferb because of the nicks and scratches but the gas tank and all the parts to the unit looked new.
I read the manual, put gas mixture in it, primed it, and it started right up. I've only used it to blow off my concrete areas and it does that well. I'm concerned about the blowing power for leaves, but we'll see come fall. It is a little heavy for continued use, but this is my first experience with a hand held do maybe it's normal. I haven't tried the mulch feature yet so I can't comment on that.
Over-all, I'm pleased and will report back if negatives develop.
I got fast shipping and good communications from CPO and would definitely use them again.
I use it for general yard and driveway cleanup. Good power and easy to start.
We have trees close to our pool and deck area, this unit makes it easy to blow them away from the pool before they fall in and clog the skimmer. After we blow them into a pile it is easy to switch from the blow tube to the mulch bag and suck all of the leaves right up.
I need to add that we leave the vacuum tube attached to the unit all the time so we don't have to stop and add it on as an extra step. The vacuum tube adds as an extra handle to maneuver the unit around while blowing.
