A:Currently we do not ship to Europe. This is not available in 220V.
Q:I have a 12 and a half inch Porter-Cable surface planer, model PC305TP. The machine is new to me, but I have no owner's manual or instruction sheet. Is this material available online, and does anyone have an address to locate the proper instructions or directions for safe use in the home shop?
A:Here is a link to the manual:
Q:Are knives replaced as part of reconditioning this planer?
A:Because this is a reconditioned item, new blades are not included with the the planer.
Q:Is there a stand for this planer? My old planer had a stand.
A:This is a benchtop planer. There is not a stand for this it.
Q:how many blades or knifes
A:This planer uses 2 Double-edged reversible, quick change knives.
Q:Does this planer have a dust collection port?
A:There is one available. Part#50-359. I think you have to use the one from Delta. It is the same machine.
A:No, this planer is not equipped with a dust collection port.
Q:My wood stock is 7 to 12" wide, rough cut to 1/4" thick, and I need to plane both sides to reach 1/8" thickness. My experience with planers is that once the wood gets less than 1/4" thick, the planer will not effectively grip and feed the wood while cutting, sometimes shredding the wood, and often shooting it out. Will this planer safely and reliably plane both sides of the wood down to 0.120"?
A:So what you do is let the piece you want thinner, ride on another planed piece. That way the planer sees the thickness of the incoming stock at your 1/4" plus the "bed" piece and you don't have to deal with the planer not wanting to cut thin stock.
