Comments about 6-in Variable-Speed Random Orbit Sander:
I bought this tool to replace the older porter cable 7336 sander, which I liked very much. I thought the newer sander would be even better. But it was heavier and the motor body was hard to hold since it was a larger diameter and smooth. The 7336 was smaller and had gripping ridges.
In addition, the side handle would not engage the head with the supplied fiber washer, since the threaded portion was too short. This sander would be impossible to use without it.
