    Comments about 3/8 in. Close Quarter Angle Drill:

    I reviewed this drill earler and was dissatisfied with it (2 star) because CPO sent one that had a defective trigger switch which seemed to be an on/off switch not variable speed. The description didn't include the usual "VSR" you see in all drills and I believed for a while that it was designed as a single speed. I learned by reading the manual that it should be variable speed so I returned that one for some more re-conditioning and received one with a working variable speed trigger. Improvements to this would include a keyless chuck, make it lighter, make the paddle switch smaller so you don't accidently turn it on. It is powerful and I have no doubt that this drill will last a long time similar to my other 1/2" Milwaukee corded drill.

    Comments about 3/8 in. Close Quarter Angle Drill:

    I did not realize this was an on-off drill. Didn't think anyone made those anymore, but it seems Milwaukee does and its larger heavy duty models are only 2 speed, which makes sense for what you would use those for. The description says 0 - 1300 rpm which suggests variable speed. It does have a reverse. Nobody uses a on/off drill for driving screws etc. Its fine for drilling holes in close quarters and seems very sturdy if that is what you need, its a decent drill. I'm going for a model with VSR like the Delta.

      Comments about 3/8 in. Close Quarter Angle Drill:

      Milwaukee used to be synonymous with superb design and high quality materials and construction. Ten yrs ago they produced a near identical CC drill with a modern keyless chuck and a sensible switch. I owned one and loved it.Whomever designed this new drill has clearly never worked with power tools in their life. The switch is a disaster of poor design that makes it almost impossible to pick the thing up, change a bit, or set it down without inadvertently turning the thing on! This obviously creates a hazard.[*]

          A:

          Arnie,

          This tool cannot be measured in HP or in-lbs of torque since it’s designed for close quarter application and not to turn any bits larger than 3/8”. At 3.3 amps and 1300 RPM, my guess would be between 200-250 in-lbs of torque, but this is just a guesstimate.

          If you are in need of a tool that specifically measured in HP and torque, possibly your looking at the wrong tool and might want to consider something else more suited for the job/task?

      New Vs. Reconditioned

      Factory-Reconditioned products have been returned to the manufacturer and are restored to like-new operating condition; they go through a rigorous testing and inspection process. Plus, they offer a significant savings vs. new.

      • Reconditioned products may have minor cosmetic blemishes or scratches that do not affect item performance.
      • Reconditioned products may not come with all of the consumables the new version comes with (bits, sanding pads/papers, cases, etc.).
      • Both come with a manufacturer warranty and are covered by our Money Back Guarantee;
        New is 30 days, Reconditioned is 60 days.
