      Comments about 4-1/2-in Slide Switch AC/DC Angle Grinder:

      I use this product for small welding projects or repairs for me and others. I haven't had a chance to use this grinder a whole lot yet but so far no problems. Looks, acts and sounds brand new. Works great for what I'm doing. I am also a structural steel welder and I'm sure it would perform well in that field also.

            Comments about 4-1/2-in Slide Switch AC/DC Angle Grinder:

            It is just a grinder. Its difficult to beat the price. With 7.5 amps on tap it is more than sufficient for my uses. I have never needed more torque. I have used cutting disks to cut up 1/8" sheet metal, grinding wheels to contour automotive roll cage bars, wire wheels to remove weld slag, flap wheels to clean metal surfaces. With the proper disks, it is extremely versatile. I have not owned it long enough to comment on durability or reliability, but the design is compact and light weight. The disk guard can be easily rotated to any position with a phillips. The handle can be mounted on either side of the motor, but I have yet to use it.

              Works great out of thebox with no problems. Only complaint would be with the blade guard . It needed some bending to keep it back away from the blade or wheel. Poor design but not a big problem

                Comments about 4-1/2-in Slide Switch AC/DC Angle Grinder:

                I use the 4 1/2" Makita for grinding touchup and small cutting jobs! It is just great and its "no vibration" eliminates arm fatigue! All handyman grinding work requires 2 Grinders(big/small). With my heavy duty 9" Craftsman(1984 and runs like 2011) and this Makita, I know this is the best combo for miscellaneous shop floor metal grinding/cutting chores! And another plus that most dont consider is that grinding and cutting discs for 4 1/2" and 9" tools are "dirt cheap" and readly available! Bill Sisk

                Questions & Answers

                New Vs. Reconditioned

                Factory-Reconditioned products have been returned to the manufacturer and are restored to like-new operating condition; they go through a rigorous testing and inspection process. Plus, they offer a significant savings vs. new.

                • Reconditioned products may have minor cosmetic blemishes or scratches that do not affect item performance.
                • Reconditioned products may not come with all of the consumables the new version comes with (bits, sanding pads/papers, cases, etc.).
                • Both come with a manufacturer warranty and are covered by our Money Back Guarantee;
                  New is 30 days, Reconditioned is 60 days.
