When Dewalt elected to go to 20v batteries I decided I needed to buy this saw to complete the tools I had using the 18v batteries and chargers. The 20v may last longer and be more useful, I don't know. But the two drills, circular saw and now this reciprocating saw, which all work great, are the trifecta of cordless power tools for my needs. This little guy cuts through everything my Dewalt corded saw takes on including tree trimming. It's a workhorse. Saws suck amperage compared to drills so be prepared with a few well charged back-up batteries for bigger jobs. But go ahead, purchase this rebuilt which came with both reconditioned battery and saw. The wood will never know if it's remanufactured or not. It'll just be smaller.

Very nice saw. Have used it for cutting conduit, tree trimming you name it the saw will cut it with the right blade. Batteries last pretty well its powerful very portable.

Needed the DC385 to cut through some bolts in fencing, and this did the trick. Price was reasonable but NOT low! Still, it arrived on time, as advertised. The battery is what I think was reconditioned, but aside from a minor body scratch, tool could have been new. Well done, so far, so good. Be sure and buy GOOD blades, not junk; it's a powerful tool.
