This item is great for proffesionals. I had a big house to do, installing laminate flooring. I had to put more than 30 tablets of plywood and this tool made it so much easier. It did not jam once and the continuous stapling option made the job 50% faster. I could not believe it is a Recon unit. It works and looks like a brand new unit. It even comes with a hard case so I do not scratch it up and destroy it. All in all a wonderful tool that I would recommend to any professional or do it yourselfer beacus it is that easy to use.
Very few would outshine Bosch tools and this stapler is no exception. Good quality feel and the weight is perfect. Very powerful, drives the staples to the depth you set every time in both hard and soft woods. Works great in paneling and thin plywood too. So far I haven't found anything I can complain about..
I use this tool primarily in assembly of cabinet carcases -- I staple top, bottom & sides together, then square the assembly with squaring braces and make final connections with #8 flathead woodscrews (countersunk, of course). Backs attached with staples only. Bought this to replace 1" stapler (which was fine for 1/4-inch-thick backs, but no good for tacking the 3/4" panels together).
Bought this to staple 1\4" underlayment over very damaged oak t&g. Worked well, only had 1 jam out of about 2,000 staples but it was very easy to clear out. I only gave it 4 stars because I am not a tradesmen, just a DIYer, so I cant say that it would hold up to heavy/daily use. Refurbushed Bosch tools have been consistently great from CPO tools, I will be back when I need something else!
Comments about 18 Gauge 1/4-in Crown 1-1/2-in Narrow Crown Stapler:
I was surprise at how easy it was to load and also hardly any kickback when using it to staple insulations in the attic and other projects that I have used it for . no complaints here.
