I had bought one of these new a few years back. A couple of months ago it was stolen. After a search of the web for a replacement I found this one. It was the same model as I had before and at factory reconditioned pricing it seemed to be a great deal. My only question is will it last as long as the last one did and so far, it has.

Powers through concrete floors and block walls. Clutch prevents jamming, so no broken bits or broken fingers. Powerful and easy to handle, and not as noisy as others. Good price, too. [Actually I have the 1199 but this one is very similar.]

I bought this when I had to drill over a hundred holes in clay brick for a project. I chose it for its value over the slightly more powerful drills. It drilled every hole without an issue.
The case is very good and the depth gauge is very helpful.

For a versatile drill...this was a great purchase...It is poised for use, as a drill most of the time, but also stout enough for small concrete drilling when needed. Ultimately, it is what it is.

Product works fine now. I wish I can get a response from Bosch, for an email I sent. 2 days after I recieved the product,plugged it in, it was smoking. I emailed bosch and recieved no response on what to do. I use it now, but wouldn't be surprised if it went out.
