Comments about 115V Engraver Kit with Extra Carbide Points:

I bought this to engrave my steal water bottles that I keep leaving places. I went to my gym to get the one I left from the lost and found and mine was among 10 identical bottles. The kit includes a template so you can make your initials legible. The template isn't great, but it gets the job done. The tool itself works well and did a nice job. Comments about 115V Engraver Kit with Extra Carbide Points:

tool and points wimpy and inneffective. the points make chipped cat scratch marks and slide all over the place, making it impossible to make a straight line. also, the traction fades in and out leaving under-etched places and broken lines where it should have been a solid stroke. if you need a line to go a certain direction, as in making letters or numbers, the point resists and chips glass even worse. i have been successfully etching glass for months, and can tell you with certainty this is not a decent tool.

Comments about 115V Engraver Kit with Extra Carbide Points:

I bought this engraving tool hoping it would engrave steel like hand gravers, but it only comes with engraving points that all have the same conical shape and only make narrow lines on metal, including steel, brass and aluminum. I would recommend it only to prospective buyers who only want to enscribe their name or initials on tools, knives, etc, not artwork.
