I've been wanting to get this for a long time and it was worth the wait.i love the work light and the shadow of the blade it casts so you know where it's going to cut.it has all the bells and whistles you can ask for. this replaces my dewalt chopsaw that worked great for 22 years,i'm sure this will do the same.if you have any doubts about this saw don't,in my opinion it's the best

I just called DeWalt. The 780 has the lighting system built-in, the 782 does not. Also, some retailers include the $199 stand bundled with the 780.

why would you want to? The shadow system shows up even in direct sun as I recently found. the shadow system is always indicating blade location, while lasers are independent from blade and must be readjusted for each blade.

              New Vs. Reconditioned

What's the difference between New and Factory-Reconditioned?

Factory-Reconditioned products have been returned to the manufacturer and are restored to like-new operating condition; they go through a rigorous testing and inspection process. Plus, they offer a significant savings vs. new.
              • Reconditioned products may have minor cosmetic blemishes or scratches that do not affect item performance.
              • Reconditioned products may not come with all of the consumables the new version comes with (bits, sanding pads/papers, cases, etc.).
              • Both come with a manufacturer warranty and are covered by our Money Back Guarantee; New is 30 days, Reconditioned is 60 days.
