How do I install the blade properly on the dwht10046?

Slide the blade button on top all the way forward. Press the black button on the side of the knife in and load the blade in from the front of the knife. When the blade is in at the proper depth and you release the black button it will lock in place. Worked first time. You do not have to open the knife with an allen wrench as noted in the other response.

There is an Allan Screw on the size of the head, just below the thumb lever. You would unscrew the the screw and the head would open. The blade is put into the head of the knife.
