Looking at the specs for this item, and knowing quite a lot about metal cutting myself; There really isn't a limit on the thickness that you can cut though with this blade. There is a limit on the dewalt high speed cutter, not the blade. Its limitations will be displayed near the handle, making it easier for the consumer to read safety information, and sometimes instruction. The dewalt cutter will specify how deep it can cut before it comes flush with the tools guard. However, there is a certain technine that you can use in order to make the job much easier on your tools, and your blade. I wouldn't just go in there, and start cutting. First off, you will want to be a spray bottle of cool water. Have someone else spray the blade with water while you cut in order to prevent over heating of the blade. In turn, the blade won't snag when it expands with the heat that is created. Secondly, you will want to examine the blade itself. The photo of the blade shown above is the correct blade to use for this kind of job.
