    Can i use the battery from my 20v drill that isnt a 20v max

      It's impossible to know for sure without knowing what model battery you have in your 20V drill, but the most likely answer is...no. Usually how the battery attaches to the product is different between various manufacturers, and unless you have a battery specifically designed for this saw, it most likely will not fit or attach. The other issue is this battery runs at 3.0A, where most 20V batteries run at 1.5A, so again, you would have the have a version of battery designed for this power draw. So there is an extremely slim chance your battery may work, but if you want to be able to use the saw straight from the box without running to the store to buy a battery, get the package deal.
