Replaces a Ryobi kit that has serious battery issues (Li-Ion batteries for Ryobi or horrid). Have been doing some remodel work so outgrew old kit. Found this DeWalt kit. Many friends swear by DeWalt (and are contractors so use a lot). Light given it's 20v, lots of power. Adding accessory tools to the kit can get expensive, will keep eyes open for sales. Only thing missing for me are palm sanders which it looks like DeWalt doesn't make in 20v cordless.

For years, I have used other cordless power tools. I thought I was satisfied with my original tools until my wife and kids purchased this five piece set for me. Instead of grabbing multiple tools to work, I just grab my Dewalt bag and few assessories, and in a fraction of the time, I am done with yet another project. If you are like me, we did not want to spend the money, but now that I have used them, I will not own any other type of power tool. Matter of fact, I gave my other set away. You will not be dissatisfied in purchasing these name brand tools.

I use DeWalt products everyday as a home remodeling contractor. I recently purchased this set to replace my 18v NiCad DeWalt set. I purchased this set mainly due to the 20v Max Li-ion batteries and it is well worth the money. The lights on the drill and impact driver are perfect for tight dark spaces and they stay on by just clicking the trigger so you can line up the bit or screw tip easily. I have used DeWalt cordless products for about 10 years now and I will continue to do so for years to come.
