For Petes sake, make the spaces larger. I had a few characters to go and couldn't get them in. If it works the way Dewalt tools usually work it will be great. The purpose is actually classified, and if it is successful I,ll be buying more. Dewalt's QC department managers and crew deserve Kudos for excellent work. Funny how some tools like this can be used for unintended purposes and still cover all the bases. Our current battery vendor is done for.

Its not a 2 in 1 vac/charger (refering to it being something like the Dewalt DC012 jobsite radio/charger). There is no charger to it at all. It is not what I call powerfull, but its not really under powered either. It has a little less power then my portable corded Shop Vac mini 1x1 (1 hp, 1 gal). It is a little heavier/bulkier then the mini also. I can sweep out an entire cab & sleeper floor of a 2007 Kennworth truck W900L before my 18v battery (Dewalt DC9180) dies. There is 2 replacement filter options; the DC5001 (standard) or the DC5001H (Hepa, better one). It takes 1 filter at a time, one or the other. It does come with 1 filter, the standard one I think. It seems to be slightly more power when using 18v DC battery versus the 110v AC, kinda weird i know. Straight out of the box, mine excepted the new Li-Ion battery pack (the older ones have to be taken to a service center to be modified to go from Ni-Cad to Ni-Cad/Li-Ion battery compatable). For such a small vac the filter is huge. Its worth the money if you already have a charger/battery (like you already have a Dewalt drill/driver kit), otherwise get the Shop Vac mini I mentioned above for around $30. Perfect for quick small clean-ups. I dont regret buying it.
