When my new Delta Porter drill press arrived, the key did not fit the chuck properly. After talking to Delta on the phone, they sent me a new chuck which fit perfectly the key I already had.
This is a fine drill press. Smooth, powerful; drills tiny holes as well as large. Nice finish, good looks. The left, right, and front tilt table is terrific. Speed changes are relatively easy, but it would be nice to change speeds with a switch instead of moving belts. This is a heavy duty tool, and is heavy. My wife and I could not assemble it by lifting the head in place. We assembled it upside down with my hoist instead. Worked out well.
I woul like to see the chuck a little higher off the floor. Great Drill Press I think it is a great buy.
I used this for drilling wood and metal frequently. Cable swivels out of the way. I like the removeable insert in center of cable. I like the laser accessories.

Q:I am trying to set a up a shop and getting very frustrated that specifications and manual do not include amperage information needed for circuiting. The manuals have advice about extensions to use for various amperage but nowhere do I find amperage specifications or information. What gives?
A:This is 120V single phase, and 13.8 amps. A 15 amp breaker is sufficient.
