I use the Laser to install a drainage system in a 1600 foot driveway on the property I own and plan to live on. The next project is the foundation for the 60 Ft. by 42 Ft. metal building that will become the Mancave while I build the house.

This laser works great. Used it for 2 concrete jobs and an excavating job. Great to mark posts during pole barn construction. The case is the only bad part, broke it the first day. Poor design as things do not fit well in the case. The plastic bracket for the reciever is also cinsy and will be a problem in the future. Over all a good unit for the money!

I looked everywhere, used and new and settled on this unit. I bought refurbished, it arrived absolutely perfect. I have used it for a couple of major projects and it has proven rock solid.
This is a high end DIY or a entry grade professional but it is great.

                    A:

Lasers have been classified by wavelength and maximum output power into four classes and a few subclasses since the early 1970s. The classifications categorize lasers according to their ability to produce damage in exposed people, from class 1 (no hazard during normal use) to class 4 (severe hazard for eyes and skin).
This laser is rated at 3R:
A Class 3R laser is considered safe if handled carefully, with restricted beam viewing. With a class 3R laser, the MPE can be exceeded, but with a low risk of injury. Visible continuous lasers in Class 3R are limited to 5 mW. For other wavelengths and for pulsed lasers, other limits apply.
