Q:My unit appears to be leaking air from a bad gasket, it's where the air comes out at the top. The pipe carries the air down to the tank, it only appears to leak when the unit is running but it's causing it to run a lot longer than normal. Should I buy a special gasket or just a high temp gasket material at a parts store?
A:Your question would be best answered by Campbell Hausfeld directly. For assistance, please call 1-800-543-6400
Q:I understand it's a 240V 30A compressor, however, I hear it should be fused with a larger breaker then a 40A. What size breaker for startup and wire AWG would be recommended?
A:- have one of these units, runs all year on a 50A breaker with #6 copper, about 20 feet. Also note aluminum wire would need to be #4 for 50 amp breaker that length (distance matters too).
A:The wire size for this unit will be 8 AWG. An 80 Amp breaker is recommended for this unit.
