Very similar in design to unit I rented. Purchased to prevent needing to rent in future. Unit was very slightly more difficult to adjust. Power to drive staples was good and it fired accurately. Bostich brand staples are all but impossible to find in big name stores and supply shops. Unit jammed often on other brand staples I was able to purchase (around 1 in 50). Staples are loaded from bottom so you must turn unit over in what could be (but probably would not ever be) an unsafe position also requiring you to be careful of the finish on the floor you are installing. The unit i rented had a drop in top loading magazine much like a nail gun. I feel that was a much better design. The case is nice, the instal block is unnecessary and the small box of staples is nice but room for more staples in the case would be nice. All in all the unit got the job done. It wasn't the best or the worst tool I've used, and in this case was just slightly less "nice" to use than the rental unit. You can do much worse than this stapler, but you can probably do better as well and I would suggest that if you will be using this unit a lot.

The first stapler spent more time in repair than I got to use it. They replaced it and the second is great. Works well every time. Small and gets close to walls, shoe aligns staples well. I love it.

I am a professional contractor who uses nail guns very frequently. I purchase this one for a job with 3/8 engineered oak flooring. I opted for the refurbished over a new gun since I don't see many installations of this sized flooring. The gun misfires (jambs because an additional nail is caught in the driver) about once every forth shot over a sleeve of staples. I am using Bostich nails that are directly recommended in the instructions. The misfires increases as you use more staples in the sleeve.

This tool did not function as it should. It jammed constantly. Although the jams were easy to fix, the lost time and aggravation made the tool unfit for use. Maybe it is just this gun. A Bostitch staple gun using 18 gauge staples works very well. I wonder if 20 gauge staples ane heavy enough for this typle of work.

adjust head as recomended and it will not shoot.Had to play with to find perfect spot for it to fire. I have had engineered gun before but this one was a peice.

Won't shoot through exotic hardwood flooring so needed to rent a 18 gage cleet nailer & I returned this stapler & CPO proptly refunded my money. EXCELLENT business.

Design makes first strip against wall a challenge but all staplers look like this so it's not just this gun. Very simple to adjust for thickness. Easy to use so getting others in the house to staple wasn't a problem.

The only problem I had was when I ran out of the staples that came with the gun. I bought more at [@] (5,000)and they kept bending. Some would work but not all. I took them (a roll at a time) to my grinder and put a sharp edge on the strips and it worked great. A man has to do what a man has to do to make things work.
