I have not had and opportunity to use the outfeed yet, but it was quite easy to install and set up. It appears to be very substantial and will easily support my requirements. I would highly reccomend this to anyone using the Bosch Table Saw. It adds to the functionality and safety of the product.
I just used this to make panels to go around the bottom of my deck. It made ripping 2/4's and cutting 4x8 sheets of deck lattice much safer and easier. It's like having an extra pair of hands on the back of the saw. I highly recommend this addon.
Exemplary design. Moves freely when unlocked. Full extension, Cutting, floppy .093 sheet plastic(3'x5'), finished edge was guided up and over the outfeed bar with no effort. Access to the locking screw is difficult, but in a safe location. I might move it 45 degrees.
Works well. Easy to install except for one screw on the back right which is a tight fit. Small price to pay for having the extension. When not extended, it does not interfere with the fence as it stands about 3 inches proud of the back of the saw. I bought this with the side extension which makes the saw almost as good as my shop based contractor table saw.
Very convenient way to get on-demand outfeed support for the Bosch 4100 table saw. Fits perfectly on the saw, and only took a short time to assemble and install. The height of the support is about 1/8" below the level of the table, which seems about right to provide support while ensuring that boards won't get caught as they are pushed through the blade. With the outfeed support fully extended I can rip a board a little over 4' in length with no trouble.
The installation bracket for making a connection to the table is an awful design I had to mount the bracket backwards to fit . Otherwise the bracket does not fit since it hits the wall of the saw. This is on the right side of the saw.
Heavy duty rear extenstion for Bosch 4100 table saw
Easy to install on Bosch 4100 table saw. added left hand extension at the same time. Was tired of using rollers to support long pieces of heavy stock on the outfeed side. Heavy duty, nice extension, installed easily.
A rear outfeed support is almost essential on the small-size Bosch 4100 table. This adjustable, sliding support works pretty well, although it droops a bit at full extension. Nevertheless, it's a good compromise.
Most people are concerned about width, like ripping 4'x8' panels. I do more ripping of 6' to 8' stock, so outfeed is my issue. Also I have a small shop so I can't put a big table behind my table saw. This is a good compromise.
