Comments about Bosch 4,500 RPM Auto-Feed Screwgun:
Hello. I used to hang drywall with a manual drywall gun and decided to get auto feed gun to speed up the process so I decided to get this gun and I am pretty happy about it. This gun is great because it is regular gun with an attachment and not one peace unit like many others on the market. You might wander why is good, so what I do is I use an auto feed attachment and i screw all the drywall except the corners because you can not fit in the corner with auto feed attachment and later I just remove it and screw all the corners with a manual gun, so you basically have two guns in one. Other good things about it is that attachment just snaps on the gun very easily, no need of any tools to mount it or remove. This gun is very nice built and is very comfortable to use. If you have to remove a screw you have to do it without a attachment and a gun has a lever that you can put on reverse, there is also a lock bottom for a trigger so you don't have to hold it all the time if you screwing a lot of board. There is a little wheel on the attachment so you can easily adjust a screw debt. To choose a right screw length you press a button and pull the nosing back and fort, longest screw size is 2 1/8". Also very important thing about this gun is that it has a lot of torque compared to other similar screw guns it gives you 105 pounds of torque at 4500rpm where like Senco gun is only 60 pounds of torque at 4500 rpm, that means you can drive screws faster and in to harder materials like plywood or cement board. The gun has a long cord and a hook with a hole so you can hang it on your belt while you working or hang it on the wall after work instead of dropping it on the floor. Few things that I do not like and would look for some improvements: 1)If you are using this gun with auto feed attachment you have to make sure it is very straight when you drive a screw otherwise it will not set a screw properly and its kinda hard if you are doing the ceiling and using one hand to hold a sheet in place and operating the gun with other you also have to maintain the same pressure on the gun because if you press too hard it will go too deep or if the pressure is not enough it will not go all the way. I would say it is not great for one hand operation especially on the ceilings even though its still easier then a manual gun. 2) Not very good in the corners 3)Screw size markings on the attachment could be more visible.( printed black on black) 4)There a no long square bits available for this gun :( can not use cement board screws
