    Comments about Benchtop Router Table:

Really nice table, very large and accommodates a number of different routers. A lot of adjustability but not overcomplicated.

Only negative is I thought the sides were cast aluminum also but they're plastic. Not really a big deal but expected to be heavier than it is.

Overall works really great and I wouldn't change anything!

      Comments about Benchtop Router Table:

I have a Bosch 1617EVSPK combination router, have used it for several projects - medicine cabinets in which the shelves go into slots, hinge mortising for three new bedroom doors (with a door hinge mortising kit), and a mounting base for a Hanukkah menorah made from an old wooden hockey stick. I realized after these that some of them would have been a lot easier with a router table, so got this one. It was easy to assemble except for leveling the mounting plate, which is pretty tricky. I still don't have it quite right, but it works fine at this point, having just done a bunch of rabbeting for a table frame. It is a pleasure to use. I was able to insert and change router bits without removing the router or the mounting plate from the table. The wrenches get in from under the table and the bit drops in from the top. Height adjustment was really easy. If you position the router on the plate the right way, there is a hole in the plate that aligns with the access to height adjustment from the top of the table. The 1617EVS router comes with a T-wrench for this. No extra accessories needed. The fixed base works just fine. Two things could be better, otherwise it would get five stars. The dust collection port is not too effective, and lots of chips accumulate under the table and off to the side, but it is not a big problem, just a little extra cleanup when you are done. Also, it would be nicer if the switch would be on the right side of the front panel instead of the left, since that would make getting the wrenches in position easier. Nice addition to a very small shop, only about 110 square feet, but I found a spot for it.

      Nice but not perfect

            Comments about Benchtop Router Table:

Very nicely detailed - table is aluminum but base is plastic. Easier to make than metal, and it's heavy plastice, but it is plastic and limits the stress this can take, and possibly lifetime as plastic gets brittle. Fence is composition board, will absorb moisture. Probably will make an aluminum fence over time. Operationally perfect though -- maybe I'm just old fashioned.

              Comments about Benchtop Router Table:

Excellent size and setup for a small (400sf) shop. I built a special workbench so I can "drop in" the router table. When not in use, it can be easily removed and replaced with a removable section of workbench top. Excellent value!

              Comments about Benchtop Router Table:

I am a pretty confident and capable do-it-yourselfer but am a little green when it comes to routers. The table was easy to assemble and all parts were included. My lack of experience caused me a bit of frustration when I tried to level the router plate to the table but after trial and error I got it dialed in.
I used the table to to some inlay work on some small boxes I made and they turned out beautifully. I also cut several rabbet joints which all came out even and straight.
Some may not like the durable plastic legs but I like them because of the weight savings since I mounted it to a flip over style work bench.
I would definitely recommend this product and CPO to anyone looking for a no hassle tool purchase.

                Q:

Your two router tables are so similar that it is difficult to choose. I see the slight specification differences but there must be some intention behind making two similar products. Do they accept different routers? Are there subtle feature differences? Is one a higher quality tool than the other?

No, the Ryobi R163K router will not line up directly with the table. You will need to purchase a separate mounting plated. The model number for the mounting plate is RA1186.
