The quick change feature to allow the blade to be repositioned it a great feature. As I used it for a few hours today, I rarely had the blade in the same position for more than a couple of minutes. It was easy to adjust the blade for the best position. I picked up a drill at the same time as I bought the oscillating tool so I would have batteries and a charger. I have the 1.5 amp-hour batteries. They seem to last about 8 minutes of continuous hard cutting. The tool will actually do a lot of work in eight minutes. It was taking about 1 to 1.5 minutes to cut a 2x4 stud free from the bottom plate that was attached with 3, 12 penny nails. I was using a Bosch carbide tooth blade and after cutting about 20 studs free, it still looks good and cuts well. The battery charger claims to be a 30 minute charger. That is true if the battery is cool when it is placed in the charger. If the battery is hot from use, it will take it 10 to 15 minutes to cool down before the charger starts. It would take at least 3 of the small 1.5 amp-hour batteries to be able to operate the tool close to non-stop. Even with only two small batteries today, the time to recharge did not slow me down that much. There was always something else I could do while waiting on the charger and most of the time, I did not need to operate the tool nonstop until the battery was discharged. Over all, I am quite pleased with the purchase.
This is my first experience with an oscillating tool. After using it for a few hours today, I wish I had bought one 20 years ago.
