I am an experienced woodworker building furniture in my home shop. I use this saw for rough cutting curves on parts that won't fit in the bandsaw. Probably could get by with a cheaper quality tool, but I have found that Bosch tools are top drawer, and this tool reinforces that finding. I received the shipment 2 days after I ordered it with free shipping. Could not tell any difference between new and reconditioned. Excellent!

Bosch delivers. I was nervous to purchase this jigsaw, as I fell in love with an old 6.5 amp model that hadn't changed in years, but was phased out by this model. This new version with padded handle, 7 amp power, variable speed dial (as opposed to old vs trigger) is nicer than I expected. It has a good cast base, and generous anti-splinter platform. Chip blower works OK, and my only gripe is the same gripe I have with 95% of all jigsaws- the bevel gauge (which is slightly indexed) is a little bit off. It requires some monitoring to ensure all cuts are square. Otherwise, it is quiet, powerful, and smooth- a very nice tool to use. The new blade change system is a dramatic improvement over it's competitors. It's a keeper for me. I've used it almost daily for at least 3 weeks now. My only wish is that there were still good options for saws with the variable speed trigger. They make a blade for every application, but I miss the control of the vs trigger. The vs dial mechanism is great if you work with plywood, mdf, plastics, or other materials that require a fixed speed with a specific blade. As most of my work is in hardwood, I like the modulation that a vs trigger offered. This saw still works fine, regardless.

I've only used it a few time, but once you pick this guy up you know you've made the right choice. It's easy to maneauver curved lines, has adjustable speed dial and trigger, and boy is it fast! I've only used it on dry wall so far, but I'm looking forward to what else I can cut with it.

I was leary to spend the money on a jig saw, but the reviews I read about this saw were 5 star. I actually bought a PC jigsaw for half the price, and returned it the same day. It bogged down on 3/4 oak, and the foot plate went off center. This saw screams through the same wood, and with the positive lock for level, it cut a perfect line! I bought a reconditioned saw. Received it in 2 days, and it looked like it had never been used. I am glad I decided to step up to a 7 amp saw. I never realized how much I needed the extra power. Great saw, and great delivery time from CPO!

All it was advertised to be. Powerful, solid but not overly heavy, excellent performance. Went through 2x6 studs like butter. With a fine-tooth blade cut through laminate flooring smoothly with no chipping. This sucker is powerful and quick so you'll want to take care of how you're using it or you can slip right through your material.
My only "complaint" really, and it's a small thing, is that it can be a bit difficult to see the point where the blade is cutting the material if you're directly over the tool. I moved my head an inch or two to the side and I could see clear as a bell.

It just seems as if there is no job to big for this saw to handle. This is the first Bosch product I have owned. I have tried the field believe me and at great exspense. Nothing compares to this saws accuracy with their blades and speed ajustments. I was never one to to complain about the price of tools. This product gives me far more satisfaction with each and every cut when working with Oak lumber than I have ever experieced with other brands. When you make an ajustment on this saw, it stays on the setting until you need to change it. For the price, you will never be sorry for making this investment for this tool or any other Bosch product. As they say " Buy it once, But it for life".
