        Our old plaster walls seem to confound my wall scanner, taking many, many readings to figure out where the studs are. This one worked very well right out of the box. Haven't used it much, but I'm pleased.

          I primarily use this tool to locate studs and rafters. When it find the center of a stud it is spot on probably within a 16th of an inch of the center. It will also find scraps left behind when used on ceilings, don't get fooled. It doesn't work as well at finding electrical wiring, but does locate copper piping fairly well. It's a good idea to practice with it in an area where you know where the items you are looking for are located. A felt tip marker makes a good accurate point through the target hole.

              This Bosch wall sensor is so easy to use and very accurate. In the past I always seem to find the studs. I work in a building with all steel studs this is the best tool for the job.

              New Vs. Reconditioned

              Factory-Reconditioned products have been returned to the manufacturer and are restored to like-new operating condition; they go through a rigorous testing and inspection process. Plus, they offer a significant savings vs. new.

              • Reconditioned products may have minor cosmetic blemishes or scratches that do not affect item performance.
              • Reconditioned products may not come with all of the consumables the new version comes with (bits, sanding pads/papers, cases, etc.).
              • Both come with a manufacturer warranty and are covered by our Money Back Guarantee;
                New is 30 days, Reconditioned is 60 days.
