I bought this drill set when I bought the two-drill set (the factory reconditioned 10-volt drill/driver and the impact drill). They each take only bits with a 1/4 inch hex shaft and I had no such drill bits. The day my order arrived, my wife was "cleaning up" the shelves where the computer, printer, phone, etc. are located. She needed a big hole drilled in the shelf upright so cords could pass through. The largest drill bit in the set -- the 1 1/2-inch bit -- made a clean hole in the wood. Cords off the floor. Wife happy.
