        Comments about 63-in Quick-Clamp Contractor's Aluminum Tripod:

Seems to be sturdy and lightweight, and it really looked as good coming out of the box as any not-refurbished unit. That said, I am not certain if there was a manual or any other bits as the box was open (not that it really should need a manual).
Also - there is not real means for fine adjustment (AFAIK), and the threading is not 1/4-20, a somewhat important point that I overlooked.

          Comments about 63-in Quick-Clamp Contractor's Aluminum Tripod:

Great tripod. Lightweight and strong. This tripod is easy to setup and is
Sturdy once set up. The tips on the legs dig in and hold the tripod well. I would recommend this tripod to anyone from the do-it-yourselfer to the professional.

Excellent locking mechanisms on the legs. Very lightweight. I like the built-in spiked feet. Very nice tripod for the money!

            Comments about 63-in Quick-Clamp Contractor's Aluminum Tripod:

This tripod worked great. I needed something to survey a property in a remote location where I was flying in. I didn't have space in my luggage for a tripod so I bought this and shipped it to the site. This is a quality, light-weight item that did the trick and I have no regrets. It likely won't stand up to years of abuse but for that, I imagine you'd but something more heavy duty anyway. For the price and quality, there is no question.
The only issue I had was that it was a little short. I'm 6'-3" and fully extended, I had to bend over to use it. Small price to pay for what I needed it for though.
