      Comments about Aluminum Contractor's Tripod:

      I used this tripod to hold my optical level and laser level while leveling out concrete blocks for the "foundation" for a steel shed. Couldn't have done it without this setup. For a light weight tripod it is very stable.

          Comments about 63 in. Quick-Clamp Contractor's Aluminum Tripod:

          I use this for mounting a 127 mm telescope. It works great for this purpose and provides a very solid and stable base. I had to change the standard 5/8 inch mounting stud out for a photo grade 1/4 - 20, but it was an easy one bolt removal and change out.

            Comments about Aluminum Contractor's Tripod:

            I have walked quite a distance with this on my shoulder. Light and easy to carry. Sets up quick.

            Tip: If you are using an optical level, use a traditional carpenter bubble/spirit level to level off the top of this tripod. Saves a lot of time.

                Comments about 63 in. Quick-Clamp Contractor's Aluminum Tripod:

                Seems to be sturdy and lightweight, and it really looked as good coming out of the box as any not-refurbished unit. That said, I am not certain if there was a manual or any other bits as the box was open (not that it really should need a manual).
                Also - there is not real means for fine adjustment (AFAIK), and the threading is not 1/4-20, a somewhat important point that I overlooked.

                Questions & Answers

                New Vs. Reconditioned

                Factory-Reconditioned products have been returned to the manufacturer and are restored to like-new operating condition; they go through a rigorous testing and inspection process. Plus, they offer a significant savings vs. new.

                • Reconditioned products may have minor cosmetic blemishes or scratches that do not affect item performance.
                • Reconditioned products may not come with all of the consumables the new version comes with (bits, sanding pads/papers, cases, etc.).
                • Both come with a manufacturer warranty and are covered by our Money Back Guarantee;
                  New is 30 days, Reconditioned is 60 days.
