I am still on my original batteries after 5-6 years. These Bosch tools are the first cordless tools I've owned that have lasted more than 1-2 years. Like another reviewer mentioned, I am not looking forward to replacing my whole line of tools that use this battery once it is no longer available.

one battery died right away, got replacement and it died just after time was up for warenty.my battery is the 2.0 ah which i do not see any more

I registered all my Bosh tools with the Pro- Advantage Program. That's How I got my 1st Blue- Core battery free for signing up. It did last longer holding a charge. So I bought 2 more, then a add-on kit with 2 more. Bosh replaced a Bluecore battery free with a phone call. So it pays to sign up for the free program. My tools sit for the winter months Dec - Mar, then see heavy use till next Dec. yet the Bluecore lasted 3-4 yrs. My original 6pc kit is over 5yrs old.

I am a professional Wiring contractor in Northern California and some would say that I am a tool freak! I have owned all the major brand power tools. I purchased the Complete 18 volt Cordless tool set and Radio for me and one of my crew plus extra batteries. I only have one battery that holds a charge after a year of professional use. The tools and radio work great and are very good quality but the batteries are not! I don't know about the Blue core, But I don't think I should have to purchase new batteries! I already have too much invested. Bosch "not" Built for life!

I have several Bosch tools that take this battery, and I'm concerned about availability in the future. I don't want to be forced to replace tools that work very well just because I can't find batteries. Someone needs to invent an adapter that allows you to run battery tools on 110.
I like the smaller, 10.8/12v Bosch tools too, very nice, and more power than I thought they would have.
