This reconditioned product looks brand new. Very low vibration, very flat even sanding, quiet and has excellent dust control. Its slightly heavy which makes it very stable for large flat surfaces, but for vertical work a 1/4 sheet sander would be less fatiguing.

Large surface area - half sheet. Precision machine, subtle vibration - quiet, easy to change sanding pads. Great for flat hardwood/wood, smooth flat finish. I purchased my first initially three years ago and presently one each for my two sons...great Christmas gift.

Getting harder and harder to find a worthy 1/2 sheet sander. My workhorse for years was the Porter Cable 505. Had I known it was being taken off the market, I'ld have bought 6 of them to last the rest of my life.
This Bosch 1293 is as close as you'll get anymore. Better not wait too long.

The sandpaper clamps aren't very good. After 16 months, I had to replace them because they couldn't hold the sandpaper in place when sanding. Otherwise, this is a great sander.

It's a very good sander. Long lasing with berrings instead of bushings. 1/2 sheet instead of 1/3 sheet, +s and -s. I prefer a 1/3 sheet sander in many ways, but it's hard to find them now. The sheet holding clips on this shander in much better than many. It doens't tare up the sheets. You have to punch holes in the paper with this sander, but the supplied "hole puncher" works easily.

We have hardwood floors, and several areas get very heavy traffic, so I need to refinish them every couple of years. The last time I tried a quarter sheet palm sander. It took a long time. This half sheet sander works must faster and has good dust pickup.
