Comments about 18V Ni-Cd Slide Battery:

This is a replacement for the original batteries that came with the weed eater. Both of the originals were all black batteries. I read somewhere that the "good" batteries are actually orange and black like this replacement one. Let me tell you there is a difference. I have always needed two batteries to finish trimming my lawn, I did it with this new one alone and it still had a little power. If you need a replacement for that battery that's starting to lose it's charge don't hesitate to get this one.

It did what I wanted it to do, had to replace one that wasn't holding its charge and the power was way down on it. The old one lasted 10 years so am hoping this one will also!!

The battery is rechargeable. You would need to purchase a charger. Here is the model number of the charger that would work. BDKNBDFC240

On top squeeze the sides and pull out, the orange plastic part will slide out. the plug in is right there.
Then plug other end in wall socket.

This product slides into a charger, the power cord is connected directly to the charger, not the product itself.

The battery is charged by sliding it on to a charger. This battery does not have a power cord.
