Using this to heat my indoor turtle pond
I am circulating the water in my 2500 gallon indoor turtle pond. The water passes through the filter and then through the heater and back into the pond. The temp control is set pretty low and I can control how fast the water passes through the heater. It is easy to keep the pond at around 78 degrees.

Good water heater, good price!
I bought this water heater to replace another one of the same model that failed at 6 years old. Warranty is 6 years, so I can't complain. We do have one other same model water heater that is 6 years old and still in service, but it does not get used every day like this one in the Master Bath. This unit provides plenty of hot water at the bathroom sink and will even last through a shower if you get wet, turn off the water, soap up, and then turn the water back on to rinse. But since it is only 2.6 gallons it will not last for long showers.

Looks like a very nice product
I ordered the water heater because I thought we would not be able to connect our new room addition to the home main heater. I research many heater options before ordering the Bosch, and found it to the the best unit of it's type on the market. CPO had the best price, and I have made purchases from them several time. They are a good vendor, fast and reliable. You can actually talk to them on the phone. Where you purchase a product is as important as the product. I recommend CPO, and will purchase many time from them. It worked out that I did not require a point of use heater, we were able to connect to the main home system. Perhaps that's where having a great vendor becomes really important. CPO immediately issued the return and credit, no questions asked. Great service! As for the Bosch heater, it would have been easy to install and as brands go, you can't go wrong with Bosch. I like it better that the tankless unit because of the low electrical requirement. Some tankless units would require major wiring and electrical demand. I plan to add a whole house gas tankless heater next year and will buy the Bosch for CPO when I do.

Ariston (Point of Use) Warranty 6 Year Warranty

This warranty applies to both new and factory-reconditioned Ariston (Point of Use) water heaters.

  1. The Inner Tank — If the inner tank leaks within six (6) years from the date of original installation of the water heater, because of a defect in material or workmanship, Bosch Water Heating will furnish to such Owner a new heater of the then prevailing comparable model.
  2. Any Component Other than The Inner Tank — If any other component part (other than the inner tank) proves to be defective in material or workmanship within one (1) year from the date of original installation of the water heater, Bosch Water Heating will furnish the Owner with a replacement of the defective part(s).
  3. Verification of Date of Original Installation — When Owner cannot verify or document the original date of installation, the warranty period begins on the date of manufacture marked on the tag affixed to the water heater.

  1. This Limited Warranty shall be the exclusive warranty made by the Manufacturer and is made in lieu of all other warranties, expressed or implied (whether written or oral), including, but not limited to, warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
  2. Manufacturer shall not be liable for any incidental, consequential, special or contingent damages or expenses arising, directly or indirectly, from any defect in the water heater or the use of the water heater.
  3. Manufacturer shall not be liable for any water damage arising, directly or indirectly, from any defect in the water heater component part(s) or from its use.
  4. Manufacturer shall not be liable under this warranty if:
    • The water heater or any of its component parts has been subject to misuse, alteration, neglect or accident, or
    • The water heater has not been installed in accordance with the applicable local plumbing and/or building code(s) and/or regulation(s), or
    • The water heater has not been installed in accordance with the printed manufacturer's instructions, or
    • The water heater is not continuously supplied with potable water.
  5. The Owner and not the Manufacturer or his representative shall be liable for and shall pay for all field charges for labor or other expenses incurred in the removal and/or repair of the product or any expense incurred by the Owner in order to repair the product. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights which may vary from state to state.

Note: A water heater should be installed in such a manner that if it should leak, the resulting flow of water will not cause damage to the area in which it is installed.
