Freight deliveries require a delivery time be scheduled and someone must be present at the time of delivery to inspect and sign for the merchandise. A representative from the freight carrier will call the phone number entered at checkout to schedule the delivery.

Liftgate Service

For freight deliveries, you have the option of adding a liftgate to your delivery. A liftgate is the device that lowers a product from the truck to ground level.

CPO recommends adding liftgate service for freight deliveries exceeding 100 lbs if you do not have a loading dock or fork lift at the delivery address. Additional charges may apply. The liftgate option will be presented during the checkout process.

Please note that liftgate service only ensures the product is removed from the truck. We recommend you have the additional help of two to four people to move the product to its desired location because drivers are not required to assist.

Requesting liftgate service after ordering may result in additional charges and delays.

Nice snow blower, but...

By John-Paul

from Farmington Hills, MI

Comments about Ariens Deluxe 28 254cc 28 in. Two-Stage Snow Thrower with Electric Start:

Last winter we had over 6 ft of snow and my small Sears push behind snow blower died. I had to end up using a shovel and made a promise to myself that I would get a "big boy" snow blower next year. I purchased an Ariens Deluxe 28" in September 2014, brought it home, and put it together. I fired it up for a test and it ran real rough; missing and backfiring. The first inch of snow hit mid-November and I was ready to go; the electric start is great! Only 1-inch or so of snow, but I was ready to try my Ariens 28 inch, self-propelled, easy to turn, adjustable chute, and headlight shining the way, snow blower. Primed it, used the electric start, fired right up. It ran rough even after warming up. It had no problem throwing that powdered snow a good 50 feet. It took a bit to get use to the controls and turning it. After running it for a while, I noticed my hands were beginning to cramp up. The handgrips and controls are poorly designed. The handgrips come straight out with the auger and drive levers on top. A poor design that ends up causing your hands to get cramps due to the unnatural angle of the wrist as you attempt to control the direction of snow blower while trying to control the engagement of the auger, and drive levers at the same time. A better design would have been something like a motorcycle handgrip with a more natural angle and putting the auger and drive levers under so they can be squeezed with the fingers instead of pushed down on with the palm of the hand. Imagine holding a stick vertically in your hand as opposed to holding a frying pan handle horizontally; which is more comfortable? The spring that helps controls pressure on the snow shoot for angle is too weak to hold it in place and it drifts. Pros Lots of power Great electric start Light is great, puts out a good beam of light Pull rope start is easy even when cold All metal body, very little plastic Overall, well built Con Poorly designed handgrip and controls for auger and drive system that causes wrist and palm of hand to cramp Snow shoot control needs a stronger spring to help hold the angel to throw the snow. If I had to do it all over again, I think I would still buy the Ariens. Right now, I have to figure out why it's running so rough. Overall, it's well built but the handgrip and controls for auger and drive system are poorly designed and cause fatigue on the hands.

Comments about Ariens Deluxe 28 254cc 28 in. Two-Stage Snow Thrower with Electric Start:

I am 72 years old and this is my first snow blower. After much research and visiting different vendors, i chose Ariens. I used it for the first time today on 6 inches of snow. I have a steep driveway( 8% grade) and it was a pleasure going up and down the driveway. I would recommend this product to everyone. Also it is made in the USA.

Appears to have all the features I need for a 12' to 16' x 200' driveway

Comments about Ariens Deluxe 28 254cc 28 in. Two-Stage Snow Thrower with Electric Start:

I am a first time user of any snow blower. I have only used this machine 3 times with 1 to 2" of snow I do not get the range out of it that I thought I would. That could be that I do not have enough snow to keep it from just blowing powder. With a fine snow you really have to watch even light winds or you will be caught in a snow storm if you do not point the chute in the right direction. Tracking is good until you hit surfaces that are more Icy for one wheel than the other.

Great Machine!!!

Comments about Ariens Deluxe 28 254cc 28 in. Two-Stage Snow Thrower with Electric Start:

I replaced my old snow blower of 19 years with the Ariens Deluxe 28+. I would have replaced it a lot sooner if I would have known the quality of the Ariens. The machine throws snow three times as far as my old one and does not hesitate to go through the end of the driveway where the plows have loaded up from plowing the street. Great machine and with the turning feature, easy for anyone to use. Wonderful product that I know my neighbors are jealous that I have. I am now excited for the next big snowfall!

King of snow!

Comments about Ariens Deluxe 28 254cc 28 in. Two-Stage Snow Thrower with Electric Start:

Although we have not had a ton of snow yet, i have been snowblowing long enough to know this is the King. just look at the gear box to see how tough it is. its nice not having to disengage the other wheel every time you make a turn. and i love how there are no electronic motors to turn the shoot, keep it simple, make it strong. this is one snowblower i will pass down to my son someday.
